Hey guys! Two things! I finally found a name to call y'all it's Darklings!! And two I'm gonna start working on a new AMV! (prepare for a long paragraph complementing Home Free and Tim foust😭🙏😅) to the song "Snow Globe" an ‪@HomeFreeGuys‬ original written by ‪@TimFoustMusic‬ that I found yesterday on Wednesday. and Idk how I didn't find it sooner cuz as soon as I heard I absolutely fell in love it was amazing the lyrics had me smiling and I realized just how much of a romantic Tim is. ✨🩵 absolutely adored the song! Tim your work is incredible I doubt you'll see this but thank you for making such a beautiful song! Lots of love to you and the Home Free guys

Appearance:

CedarRidge has a rugged but striking look — his blue scales shimmer faintly in the sun, but are broken up by the brutal red burn scars across his face and forearms.
The permanent brown muzzle, secured with dark leather-like straps, covers part of his snout and has worn edges from years of trying to remove it.
Sharp, stormy cyan eyes with his left one permanently clouded and scarred give him a haunting stare.
His claws are dark and slightly chipped from years of climbing rough mountain ridges.

Personality:
・Guarded: Trust is earned, not given. He’s cautious around new people but not aggressive unless threatened.
・Loyal: Once you earn his trust, he’ll defend you with everything he has — no questions asked.
・Quiet: Naturally more observant than talkative (partly because the muzzle makes communication harder). Uses body language and small gestures to express himself.
・Gentle: Despite his scary appearance, he is incredibly soft and protective with smaller creatures, kids, or the injured.
・Brooding: Tends to retreat into nature when stressed or upset, especially into forests and rivers.
・Determined: Will not quit once he sets his mind on something — even if it means getting hurt in the process.



Abilities:
・Stealth: Surprisingly quiet and sneaky for his size. Blends into forest shadows easily.
・Tracking: Exceptional sense of smell and hearing (especially after losing full vision).
・Resilience: High pain tolerance and strong endurance — can take serious damage and still keep moving.
・Limited Fire Control: His muzzle seals his fire-breath ability, but he can still create small smoke clouds from his nostrils, which he uses to obscure enemies’ vision.
・Natural Camouflage: His blue tones allow him to blend into rivers, lakes, and mountain mists easily.

・Blind Side: His left side is vulnerable because of his blind eye.
・Fire Suppression: Without access to his full fire-breath, he’s at a disadvantage against fire-wielding enemies.
・Trust Issues: Has a hard time asking for or accepting help, even when he needs it badly.
・Nightmares: Sometimes gets flashbacks of the attack, causing sleepless nights and occasional panic attacks.

・CedarRidge secretly loves when birds land on him while he’s resting. He’ll stay totally still so they don’t fly away.
・He learned to read the winds and river currents to navigate better after losing sight in one eye.
・His real voice (if he ever gets the muzzle off) is supposed to be deep and calm, almost like distant thunder — the kind of voice you feel in your chest.

Current Goal:

Find a way to break the muzzle’s curse and fully reclaim his strength — but more importantly, figure out who he is now, scars and all.


Backstory:



CedarRidge was once part of a hidden mountain forest clan, known for their vibrant blue scales that helped them blend in with the misty skies and rivers winding through the cliffs. He was born under an ancient tree said to be blessed by the earth itself, which is how he got his name — a symbol of strength (Cedar) and resilience (Ridge).

When CedarRidge was young, his clan was attacked by a band of rogue dragons who had turned against the old ways, using fire recklessly and destroying anything they couldn’t control. During the assault, CedarRidge fought fiercely to protect his family. He shielded the younger dragons and elders with his own body, taking on burns that scarred him for life. One of the attackers struck him across the face with flaming claws, blinding his left eye and leaving deep scars down both sides of his face.

As punishment — and as a twisted way to mock his bravery — the attackers forced a heavy, muzzle onto CedarRidge, one that suppresses his fire-breath and binds tightly unless someone else helps remove it. They left him for dead at the base of a scorched ridge, thinking he would never survive.

But CedarRidge did survive.

He wandered for weeks, half-blind, struggling to heal. Over time, he became something of a myth among travelers and lost dragons — the “Blue Ghost of the Burned Forest.” Many fear him at first because of his scarred, fierce appearance, but those who take the time to know him realize that CedarRidge is fiercely loyal, protective, and wise beyond his years.

Despite everything, he has a gentle heart buried under all that trauma. He watches over lost dragons and abandoned creatures, guiding them to safety from the shadows. However, he rarely lets anyone close enough to truly know him — trust is something he gives only with great caution.

Some say that CedarRidge is still searching for someone brave enough to break the spell of his muzzle, to help him reclaim the voice and power that were stolen from him. Until then, he roams the forests and ridges, a silent guardian of the forest
