holyyyyyy shit. Welp, this has been 6 years in the making… I’ve gone on such a journey since I started making these songs as I was about to release them in 2020 and then covid happened. I was devastated but something in me told me to wait and to trust that one day I’d know when it was time to share this music. Ultimately, that little voice was right because I needed these years of going through life and creating records and worlds with other artists to really learn how to get the world that’s been inside of my heart out. It took going through the trenches with Raye to learn resilience and belief in oneself as she pushed through those valleys. It took studying the depths of the heart with Shawn to learn that imperfections are ok and truth and love is all we got. It took creating an album with The Moongirls to learn that I had so much more I needed to express for myself first. It took 27 years to admit that I’ve been scared to share the world inside of me in a real way which then showed me the wall that I needed to break through. So, here I am, driving through that wall all around the country on my bus, meeting all of you and sharing the world that lives inside of my heart. I hope, whether you stumbled upon me and the bus by accident or you found me on purpose, that these shows have brought a little extra magic into your life. We’re just at the beginning. Thank you thank you thank you to my great friend Oliver who rushed over to my home moments after i called him telling him i’m an extremely intense energy saying i’m making this song called life and it’s pouring out of me and i’m feeling a lot and i have a visual idea and it involves shaving my head. he said, i’m on my way. I was finishing the song as he drove over and booking the first warehouse space i could find on my phone. i played him the song when he arrived, we drove over to the warehouse and got a shaver and straight jacket on the way, my heart was exploding and beating fast with pain, excitement, confusion, and we typed out the shots we wanted to get on the way there. and then we just shot it. raw. in the moment as i was exploding, transforming, feeling the deep pains of evolution and loneliness and distrust… and he captured me in the pain, the surrender, the explosion, the cleanse and the rebirth. cycles of life. i am forever grateful to him for letting me express myself in the way i did. the whole point of being an artist. thanks ollie i love you ♥️
