Part 2. Second step: harden the piston.
To properly harden a new piston after installing a new cylinder in your scooter - it is important to follow these steps to help you properly harden the piston:

1. After the warm-up period, take short rides at varying speeds to allow the piston and cylinder to break in. Gradually increase the engine RPM while varying the load on the engine.

2. Avoid prolonged periods at maximum RPM or constant speeds during the initial hardening process. Gradually increase the intensity of the loadon the engine with each ride.

3. It is important to avoid sudden acceleration or hard braking during the hardening process. Gradually increase the intensity of the load on the engine over time.

4. The entire harden takes about 400 miles. You can only drive with a maximum of 50% gas usage.

5.Using only high octane petroleum such as 93 and higher. Otherwise engine gets denotation. Detonation means blowing.

Remember, properly hardening the piston after installing a new cylinder is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your scooter. This will help ensure a long and reliable engine life.

Part 1. In this post we want to share the most important information about extending two stroke engines lives.

These two steps are breaking-in the engine and hardening the piston.

First step: breaking-in the engine.
Properly breaking in the engine for 2-stroke scooters such as Honda Dio, Yamaha Jog, YamahaBws after changing new cylinderkit with new piston it is necessary to follow specific guidelines to extend its life. You can maximize the potential of your scooter and ensure that it runs smoothly for years to come.Here are some important steps to help you properly break-in the engine:

1. After installation of new cylinder with piston start the engine and idle for 40-50 minutes (approximately).

2. Then the engine shuts down and must be allowed to cool completely - approximately for 2hours.

3. Then start the engine again and heat it to operating temperature. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

4. Then turn off the engine againfor 2 hours and start the next time for at least 2 hours. This is the end of the breaking in process and the beginning of the harden piston.
