I'm compelled to start a new series taking you all the way through the process of designing and developing a websites. This is going to be comprehensive so it will take some time, but here is the first video covering the initial survey filled out by the client.
You could ask these questions during an in-person interview or by emailing it to clients. The answers here give you an idea of scope and the goals for the website. It will help you move into the design phase. It's really important that the client gets to put their ideas down. You'll also begin building a shared vocabulary during this phase. Ask for clarification about a term you don't understand. Have them explain anything that seems vague or not helpful. The work you do in this stage will set the tone for the client relationship going forward.

I'm not sure where everyone is on their web development journeys. But if you're looking for a way to create a simple blog without setting up wordpress and all that comes with that, you should check out Webflow. Just wanted to share a little of what's been going on with me. I took a few months off from creating video content while traveling and living in East Asia with my family, but I'm back in the US now and ready to create more great content.
This week I've posted a few videos. I want to take more of a deep dive approach and show other developers how to use the tools that are so important today for layout--most notably, CSS Flexbox and CSS Grid.
I also want to create more videos showing the process of building some common elements on a website. I'll cover navigation, heroes, footers, and everything in between. I want to make sure the next generation of developers can get up to speed on building beautiful, modern websites using modern tools and techniques.
Thank you to all those who have subscribed to the channel. Give me a reply and let me know what you need help with or how the channel has helped you in some way. I'm always honored to hear that what I'm doing here is actually making a difference in the lives of others. That's my goal with this channel.

Hello! I just want to let you know I'm still alive. I don't have the time or ability to keep up my regular uploads. I'll get back and resume uploading new videos in January. I'll be continuing the Start with 1 series (moving into CSS) and I'll also be uploading more Quick Code Tutorials.
