You could ask these questions during an in-person interview or by emailing it to clients. The answers here give you an idea of scope and the goals for the website. It will help you move into the design phase. It's really important that the client gets to put their ideas down. You'll also begin building a shared vocabulary during this phase. Ask for clarification about a term you don't understand. Have them explain anything that seems vague or not helpful. The work you do in this stage will set the tone for the client relationship going forward.
