Nkosuo Initiative

We are committed to girl empowerment and ending period poverty in Ghana. The Nkosuo Initiative Foundation is a youth-led Ghanaian organization with a singular objective to ensure the socioeconomic empowerment of socially, economically and politically disadvantaged groups including women and youth in rural areas and informal settlements in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). With a particular emphasis on West Africa and the poorest nations on the continent through projects, advocacy, research, and capacity building.

Our Menstrual Health Campaign within the LEKMA Municipality (mainly indigenous communities) in partnership with the Ghana Education Service seeks to reduce teenage pregnancy and girl school dropout through menstrual health education and distribution of free menstrual cups and reusable sanitary pads.

Contributions to GLOBAL GOALS -SDGs, 1[zero poverty], 3 [Good health and well-being], 4 [Quality education], & 5 [Gender Equality] by 2030.
