Amar Amarni is a painter, musician, and filmmaker born in Kabylia, Algeria. He studied at the High Art School in Algiers between 1992 and 1998, and received a DNSEP diploma for Advanced Art in 2006 after 3 years in Marseille, France.
He has made a large number of art exhibitions since 1994 in different countries, including: Algeria, France, Spain, Germany, Finland, and Tunisia. He also worked as a cartoonist in the national newspaper "La nouvelle république" in Algeria in 1998.
Amar Amarni is also the creator of the soundtrack in the documentary "la traversee" directed by Elisabeth Leuvrey in 2006.
He has made several mixed media shows in France, Canada, and Italy since the release of his experimental music album "orange makes me happy" in 2011. His artistic performance, called “AMART experience,” mixes sound, music, painting, and art films.
He made several animated short films and has participated in several international films festivals
