Join me in my adventures as I seek to find as many different adventures as possible.
I’m Nate Mack. A lifelong adventure seeker. I was raised in the frozen tundra of Michigan where I learned outdoor survival on the Great Lakes. Along with snowboarding and crossx skiing. I worked at ski resorts over the years as a ski tech, snowboard instructor and lift op. I worked for pnuts so I could enjoy life as a snowboard bum. Working at Purgatory Resort in Colorado, Beech Mtn NC, and Cataloochee Resort in Maggie Valley NC.
I moved to North Carolina in 1995 and I became a whitewater raft guide on multiple rivers in the south such as Nolichucky, Ocoee, Pigeon, French Broad, Chatooga and Nantahala Rivers.
After living in the mountains being a raft guide, ski bum and camping and hiking multiple sections of the Appalachian Trail for 25 years we moved to Charleston.
Now I am starting a new adventure in Charleston as a tall ship sailor, but I’ll be visiting all the old places and lots of new ones!
