My name is Brian Weber and I am really stoked that you found my channel where I cover all things personal finance, trading, investing, software and more. To give you some background on me: I am an ocean engineer by traditional education and now a self-taught software developer. After college I came to find out that I had over $100k in student loans due to not understanding the consequences of continuing to accept the “free money” offered by my college, and finding out that my mother had forged my name on a student loan that ballooned to more than half of the balance due to negative compound interest. Within 4 years from 2017 to 2021, I not only paid off all of my student loan debt. But my net worth went from -$130k+ to multiple positive six figures and continues to rapidly increase since I am saving/investing over 40% of my income. I use this channel to share my experiences with the goal of helping people gain control over their financial lives. Thanks for tuning in!

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has recently proposed adding a 40-year mortgage to their list of loan options. In this short, I will explore the pros and cons of a 40-year mortgage.
In my personal opinion, if you can't afford a 30 year mortgage, you should not take out a 40 year mortgage just to save a couple $100 bucks per month. The extra interest you will pay for those extra 10 years is significant.

$516 today one step closer to finishing step 1 for the $150k account.
Interesting price action today. Failed to push higher after breaking yesterday’s high and then selling off into the close. Quad witching tomorrow so we should see which way the market wants to go soon.
