Susan's Southern Cooking
Like many southern women before me I like to show my love and caring by cooking. I want a record of my recipes for my sons. Someday if I am not around, I want them to be able to see how I cooked if they have a taste for something I made. I would give so much to have such a record of my mom's and grandmothers' cooking. We take so much for granted when we have them. So many of the recipes I loved growing up left with them.
Southern cooking encompasses so many different types of food. We think fried chicken and grits and yes these are some of my favorite foods, but a good southern cook learns to cook whatever they find. I hope I achieve this! That is why I have so many casseroles of different ethnic flavor. It is so good!!!!
