Preserving the legacy of farmsteads before they disappear.

I’m Nisa, a photographer and storyteller documenting the haunting beauty of abandoned family farmsteads across the Midwest. Through photos, artifacts, and firsthand accounts from former residents, Documenting Disappearing Family Farmsteads pieces together the lives these places once held.

Slow pans through sunlit decay. Letters in drawers. Overalls on pegs. Wallpaper curling at the edges, holding stories only memory can unlock.

Follow along as I trace what remains—before it’s gone for good.
