Hi! My name is Michelle (she/her) and I go by ChinookCrater on most forms of social media.
A Chinook is a local weather phenomenon where warm winds from the west come over the Rocky Mountains, giving us a sudden change in weather and for many of us, migraines! I like alliteration and the nod to my home so that’s the story behind the name!
This channel is mainly to explore my love and interest for cross stitch, though you will see some quilting and other fibre arts make an appearance, as well as a little book talk near the end.
Besides being crafty, I am in the magical chaos of parenthood that is having two toddlers, corralling the two giant cats we have rescued (they make guest appearances), and trying to be more sustainable by gardening and making kitchen messes. I also run long distances, kick box, and hike though those have taken a back seat in recent years.
