UB40 fan from 1980. Pab9UB44 is a combination of their 1982 self penned and produced album UB44 and its other producer Ray ‘Pablo’ Falconer (R.I.P.). The album played a large part of my listening at the time and I really enjoyed their reggae/funk/dance fusions. I had visions that they would continue with their “musical experiments” but fame and fortune was calling them. I have enjoyed growing up with them and watching their music evolve and regenerate. It is so cool that they brought their inspiring musical influences and some of their creators to the greater public’s eye so that WE can all enjoy the experience of a great, warm, thoughtful and humble band that is UB40.
