Ollie is a character created to help parents and kids understand the importance of body safety, bullying, stranger danger and strange behaviour, as well as give them tips on how to stay safe in different situations. The main message that Ollie promotes is empowerment; she encourages kids to be brave and know their rights regarding their bodies. She also emphasises the need for open conversations between parents/guardians and kids so they can discuss any issues that may arise related to safety. Additionally, Ollie provides positive affirmations for kids so they can build confidence in themselves while learning more about protecting their bodies from harm or abuse. Overall, Ollie’s mission is important: teaching kids how to keep themselves safe while still being able to be a kid! Understanding what constitutes acceptable behaviour around others, being aware of the risks associated with strangers & unfamiliar settings, and knowing what steps we should take if something does not feel right
