Every Tuesday at 7:15 PM EST. Grown Man Bars is a Gen X barbershop hip hop show where two former artists argue rap greatness, legacy, and impact.

This isn’t news, reaction, or nostalgia bait. It’s conversation — the kind hip hop has always been built on. Through debates, versus matchups, and trials, GMB talks about the culture the way it used to be talked about: with standards, memory, humor, and real opinions.

We take hip hop seriously enough to challenge it. Some episodes are loud. Some quiet. Some settle arguments. Some make em' worse. All of them come from the belief that hip hop is shaped by time, competition, regional identity, and lived experience.

Grown Man Bars is made for Gen X listeners who grew up with the music, lived through the eras, don’t need everything explained but still enjoy hearing it debated. We play with the idea that “hip hop is dead” not because we believe it, but because the argument itself reveals what lasts, what fades, and why artistry matters.
