If any of you are in Boston for the marathon this upcoming weekend I will be around on Saturday (April 19th) in downtown Boston at 9am for a meet and greet and shake out jog!

✅Runners— when I talk about the concept of “speed extension” here what I mean: We may start an athlete with a Reps workout of 12 x 200m at 40 seconds each with a 90 second rest. Many people can run 200m reps at considerably faster than their 5km pace. But then with “extension” we look to build them up to 6 x 400m at 80 seconds (same pace with the same 90 sec rest!). Eventually the goal is 800m repeats also at the same pace (2:40) & it’s “more specific” to the 5km-Marathon races. 🏃🏻🙌
