Established in 1997, Scholastic India runs a dynamic publishing programme that aims to bring out innovative titles from the best of Indian authors and illustrators. Scholastic works closely with teachers, parents and students to encourage reading and promote the highest quality of reading and educational material in English.
Scholastic distributes its products and services through a variety of channels including school-based book clubs and book fairs. It also works with trade distributors to sell books through retail stores throughout the Indian subcontinent.
The Indian authors published by Scholastic are Ruskin Bond, Anushka Ravishankar, Paro Anand, Manjula Padmanabhan, Meera Uberoi, and Samit Basu, among others.
