Ratel C comes from the world of fine art, photography and choral singing. Her voice having been broken by treatments, she had to give up her activity as a soloist and became an author, composer, performer and producer.
She explores her new voice, still deep but now a little broken to talk about difference, handicap, sex, motherhood, small joys and resilience.
Her texts are raw or tender. There is a little dark humor.
It all starts with that first single, Ding Ding Miaou, very naive and low-fi compare to the rest of the album and yet much deeper than it seems to be.
