I'm designing a complete integrated farm before building any of it.

The land is two and a half hectares in Calamba, Misamis Occidental, in the Philippines. Flat, mostly cleared, empty. The plan is a farm where the pieces feed each other: catfish, tilapia and red claw crayfish, a durian orchard with banana and calamansi between the rows, a growing tunnel, black soldier fly waste recovery, on-farm feed milling, off-grid solar, and eventually a cafe and a bamboo chapel by the road.

Every week I take one component, build it properly in 3D, and work out the real dimensions, costs and unsolved problems. The model is the progress bar: blocks mean not worked out yet, detail means designed. When I get to the Philippines I build it for real, and we find out how much the model got right.

Virtual Farm Zero is the design. Farm Zero is what gets built.
