I’ve been digging into my scrap paper bags and gave myself a fun challenge: make 3 completely different collages using nothing but scraps. 💛 Watch here: https://youtu.be/m7cU9zaVLTM
First, I created a few miniature collages on watercolour paper, then I went big with a 16x20" piece, and finally I pulled out the gel plate for a layered collage full of texture. It’s amazing what can happen when you don’t throw anything away — those little pieces can become treasures.
👉 I’d love to know… which of the collages is your favourite? and which technique did you like best?

My Second Round of Experiments!! 5 Gel Plate Transfer Techniques That Add Amazing Texture
https://youtu.be/_0K-T8zf6yE
In today’s video, I’m sharing five of my favourite gel plate transfer techniques that add amazing texture to your artwork. I start by painting directly on the plate to create bold, painterly effects, then move into using masks to shape striking silhouettes. From there, I bring in stamps and even water to build unexpected textures, and then take things further by layering on gold leaf sheets for a luminous, metallic shine. Finally, I combine everything into one richly layered print so you can see how these ideas work together.
Whether you’re just starting out with gel printing or looking for new ways to push your creativity, these techniques will give you so many possibilities to explore in your own art. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Join me today for a painting extravaganza on my FluidArt channel - This Fluid Art Trick Changed Everything!
https://youtu.be/QFhF5kQ7xh4
Today in the studio, I’m experimenting with a few different pouring mediums to create something truly unique. I begin by taping off a section of the canvas—saving space for a stencil layer later on. Then comes the magic: I pour rich, flowing layers of purple, crimson, and pink, all accented with metallic copper and bronze. As the paint moves and swirls into organic patterns, I add Liquitex acrylic spray paint directly to the surface for added texture and vibrancy.
Once dry, I peel back the tape (and yes—it worked!) and finish the piece with a layer of paint through my personal script stencil. It didn’t all go smoothly—I had one pouring medium mishap that nearly derailed the whole painting. But art is all about problem-solving and staying open to the process. Watch how I turn it around and create this luminous, multi-layered abstract artwork.
The painting turned out amazing!
