The Lake Shore Model Railroad Association was started by half a dozen newly discharged GI's meeting in the rear of a hobby shop on 79th st. in Chicago. By the end of the summer of 1946 they found a 20X20 foot room in the wood shop of the Calumet Park Field House. The club has been in continual operation ever since and currently has an 18' by 88' Digitrax controlled, fully signaled, computer dispatched miniature transportation system in HO scale

We currently have DCC open running on Wednesday and Friday nights 6:30pm - 8:30pm and memberships are available. We encourage you to stop by and check it out in person. The work, models and videos you see here are done by our members.

We are located in the basement of the Calumet Park Field House 9801 S. Ave G in Chicago, IL 60617
