Steven Monteiro Jr known as “just stevie” has a goal to use his voice to impact as many people as possible and eliminate the many misconceptions people have about what it means to be a Christian. Many people think living for God isn’t attainable. Not only does he want to expose this myth but wants to showcase that a life lived for Christ is actually enjoyable. His pastor always says, “take God seriously but don’t take yourself too seriously,” and that’s a motto he lives by. We don’t need to be perfect. God tells us to come as we are and trust Him to do what we can’t. He hopes his music can free people up to experience Christ in a new way. He also hopes to create a space where people can be challenged as well as encouraged, entertained but also empowered. just stevie is working hard to create music that is relatable, with catchy melodies and a clear lyrical delivery.
