Originally from Bremerton and raised in Seattle, Campana first gained recognition as lead vocalist of the genre-blending band COSMOS. After winning MoPop’s “Sound Off!” in 2016, the group played major festivals like Bumbershoot, Capitol Hill Block Party, and Sasquatch!, and performed at Prince’s Paisley Park for MUSICOLOGY.
As a solo artist, Campana released his debut album Matter of Time during the pandemic, along with an award-winning short film of the same name, created with swimteam. The album was named one of The Seattle Times’ “Top 16 Albums of 2021,” and the film won the Audience Award at Black Film Fest ATL.
His music has since reached global audiences, with “Tangled” featured in Donald Glover’s Atlanta (FX), and his single “Soon” (feat. p. kruise) appearing in One of Them Days, a film produced by Issa Rae and starring Keke Palmer and SZA.
