HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of our YouTube Family!!
Holidays right after losing a family member are tough. Seeing an empty seat at the table just feels wrong, and this year has felt that in a big way.

But even through the sadness, I’m incredibly thankful - thankful for my family, thankful for God’s comfort, and thankful for all of you here on YouTube.

This community has been such a blessing. The support, the comments, the prayers, the love… it has meant more to me than you know.

Posting weather content here on YouTube has been one of the few things that’s really kept me going the past few weeks. You all bring me so much joy, and I’m truly grateful for every single one of you who watches, comments, or even just checks in.

To anyone who has recently lost someone: I know how that pain feels. May God be with you today and give you peace. Your lost loved one is watching over you right now.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. From my family to yours - God bless you, and Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃

And for the love of all that is holy, ENJOY YOURSELVES today and EAT some 🦃!!!

Hurricane Melissa is making landfall NOW
This storm ranks among the strongest ever recorded in the Atlantic - with a central pressure of 892 mb and sustained winds of 185 mph. Wind gusts are likely exceeding 200 mph.

Jamaica is now enduring one of the most powerful hurricanes in its history.

I’m sorry I’m not live today. I had planned to be, but with my Grandma’s passing, I’ve moved back home for the week.

I’d ask everyone here to please say a prayer for the people of Jamaica and Cuba. I’m a firm believer in the power of prayer - and I know God is with them now.

Thank you all for sticking with me here on YouTube. Your support means the world.
I’ll be back soon.

Hi all - I will be away from YouTube for a bit to be with family

It is with great sadness that I share that my Nana passed away peacefully over the weekend. She was not only an incredible grandmother, but also one of my biggest supporters hereof my passion for weather here on YouTube. She never missed a show, always watching, sending encouragement, and giving feedback. She truly was part of our Storm Front Freaks family.

Before she passed, she texted me saying how much fun she was having watching our final @stormfrontfreaks podcast episode. Those were her last words to me — and it brings me peace knowing her last night was filled with joy and laughter.

I’m sharing this because I’m a firm believer in God. Even in sadness, I know He is still good - and that she is with Him now.

If you’re reading this, and you’re walking through loss, I want you to know that God is with you in it too.

All glory to God, even in loss. I know her soul is in Heaven today, smiling down on all of us.

This week, I’d normally be covering Hurricane Melissa with live shows and videos, but I’ll be heading home to be with family. I’ll be back as soon as I can - so please stick with me.

Thank you all for understanding, and for being the best community anyone could ask for.

🌀MELISSA COULD BECOME A CAT 4 OR 5 HURRICANE

🌀Things are not looking good today for Tropical Storm #Melissa with the NHC now calling for her to strengthen into at least a Category 3 Major Hurricane, with a Category 4 or even 5 absolutely on the table.

⬅️If Melissa keeps sliding west, she'll move into a pocket of weaker wind shear and some of the warmest waters on Earth. Those calmer upper level winds along with the ridiculously warm waters of the Caribbean will act like Hurricane rocket fuel and could cause Melissa to make a run at Cat 4 or 5 status.

This all could have been avoided if Melissa wouldn't have missed her first ticket out after avoiding the initial trough. Now she’ll wait for the next one to pull her north.

🇨🇺Jamaica, Cuba, and parts of Haiti should start preparing for the possibility of a significant storm early next week.

🇺🇸U.S. impacts still look low for now, but any shifts further west need to be closely monitored.

Melissa could become one of the strongest Caribbean storms we’ve seen in a long time.

ALSO a reminder - WE HAVE OUR LAST PODCAST EVER TOMORROW at 9pm ET. Be sure to tune in!

POTENTIAL SYSTEM IN TROPICS NEXT WEEK - DONT WORRY JUST YET👀

Looking like 3 distinct scenarios are starting to emerge for our tropical system next week. 2 out of 3 involve no U.S. impact, but one definitely does. Here’s the breakdown:

🟠Scenario 1: Central America
The system stays weak in the eastern Caribbean and drifts west as a disorganized cluster of showers and storms. It eventually buries itself in Central America. Flooding would likely be the main concern there, assuming it organizes at all. There would be NO US impacts here.

🟣Scenario 2: US / Gulf Coast
This is the worst-case setup for the U.S. The system stays weak early on, then organizes in the central and western Caribbean. Because it stays farther south, it misses the “ticket” to curve out to sea and lingers in the Caribbean, potentially strengthening into a tropical storm or hurricane. Eventually, another trough could pull it northeast toward the U.S., making a close call or landfall hard to avoid. Let’s hope models trend away from this one.

🟢Scenario 3: Hispaniola / Out to Sea
The system organizes quickly in the eastern Caribbean, gains latitude, and gets picked up by the trough moving through the U.S. around October 24. That would likely send it out to sea like the others this season. In this case, Hispaniola and Cuba could still see flooding rain, wind, and surge depending on the storm’s strength.

Ensembles haven’t leaned toward any of these outcomes yet, but that should start to change in the next few days.

Anyone with interests in the Gulf or Caribbean should monitor this over the next week. I'll post a video update on this tomorrow, so LOOK OUT FOR THAT

TROPICS UPDATE
A new tropical wave just rolled off Africa this morning. While development isn’t likely until it reaches the Caribbean, some models hint at possible formation later. Where it tracks — and how strong it gets — remains uncertain. We’re also watching Tropical Storm Lorenzo, which should stay weak and loop back toward Africa. The wave, though… that’s the one to watch. I’ll be on it like a hawk 🦅

SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE
A potential Severe Weather Outbreak looks possible Saturday, with damaging winds as the main threat. Some models even suggest a tornado component. The SPC already has a 4-day risk area — details will sharpen as we get closer. Stay tuned for updates!

TROPICAL STORM GABRIELLE HAS FORMED - WILL IT EFFECT THE US?
The short answer, NO. Hi YouTube peeps - its been a minute, but dont worry, I'll be back Live soon, working on something exciting. In the meantime, here is a quick Tropical Update on Gabrielle and where its expected to go

Tropical Storm Gabrielle just ended the quietest peak of hurricane season in modern history.

Gabrielle is expected to strengthen into a hurricane in the coming days, possibly flirting with Major Hurricane status - But will it threaten the U.S.?

Probably not. A weakness in the Bermuda High should steer it harmlessly out to sea. Bermuda, however, could be in the crosshairs.

Meanwhile, the National Hurricane Center is tracking two additional waves, though models aren’t showing strong development yet.

Looks like we may be setting up for another back-loaded hurricane season...

HEY YOUTUBE FAM!! Now that I'm back in Ohio to my beautiful, sweet sweet computer, I'll start to post more and make more videos and livestreams about the weather. The area that currently has my attention today is in the eastern Atlantic, where a group of disorganized showers and thunderstorms are slowly meandering westward. The National Hurricane center is giving this system a 50% chance of development the next several days.

This system has a lot to overcome though as sinking, drier air will inhibit any explosive or rapid development, keeping short term odds of development very low. In the long-term though (next 7 days), many models do show a system forming and sliding west after eventually taking a hard north turn.

At this point, odds of this being a problem for our United States brotheren are low, but we are at the Peak of Hurricane season, so anything in the Atlantic bears watching.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone. IM BACK BABY
