Hello there!
I’ve always loved Western rock music — from the Beatles to RHCP and beyond. But there’s only one band from my country that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the greats: the legendary Soviet rock band KINO.
In the late 1980s, KINO had an impact in the USSR comparable to what the Beatles achieved worldwide. After the tragic death of their leader, Viktor Tsoi, in 1990, the band broke up. In the chaos following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the surviving members lost the rights to their own catalog.
Decades later, they managed to regain those rights and restored the official discography using the original analog master tapes, so the albums could finally sound and look exactly as the band intended.
This channel is dedicated to bringing KINO’s fully translated discography to Western fans. If you’re a KINO fan too — you’re in the right place.
