I’m not a financial expert—just a self-taught budgeter who started out of necessity. My husband and I were stuck in a fixer-upper in a tough neighborhood, unsure how to move forward. Learning to budget changed everything. It took time, patience, and practice, but we’ve reached many of our goals—and you can too.
Later, I became a budget preparer for two departments in a company valued at over $1.7B. Managing over $1M in combined annual budgets taught me to view money differently and deepened my budgeting skills.
