So, I regained the ability to get professional insight and advise for my channel. Time for bad news / good news.

The bad news is that my channel is stuck in limbo because of lack of scheduled uploads, a few wrong choices made when I upload videos that aren't what my channel is tagged for (like, who would know to NOT alert subscribers on videos that don't fit your YT assigned niche), and not uploading enough edited content that wasn't a previous livestream.

The good news is that I immediately switched tracks. I'm a processing fiend right now that's working on the scheduled one-per-day videos, even if they at first might be edited livestreams, recording with the quickness more things like Silent Hill f and 2 Remake off-camera, compiling series into movie formats, and looking at which older series to finish off first.

THE VR STREAM IS STILL HAPPENING, SO LOOK OUT FOR IT IN THE COMING DAYS, SCREW THE IDEA THAT IT HAS TO BE ON HALLOWEEN.

I'll leave you with an image that's part of the stuff I'm working on, which is basically making assets for some series that need original thumbnails. The image attached might or might not be for the cracked out RE4R run we started this summer...

My dad had another stroke. I’m sorry to anyone at the livestream last night who had to sit through me figuring that out from just seeing his late night MRI and results, but doctors just confirmed it.

My dad needed my help for his own medical treatment, which was becoming lackluster at best and deadly at worst.

On a good note for long time viewers, I’m currently at a consultation… for finally having surgery on my herniations (plural) that I’ve had since November 2022. They’ve been very painful for the entire 3 years, but I’ll probably lose healthcare coverage January 1st, so it’s finally happening.

(God, I don’t know what to do with myself when the pain is gone; I just know we’re gonna have some awkward streams of me fully reclined while trying to play a game while recovering.)

I hope to get home and get back on track tonight, but please work with me on this – juggling my dad’s acute medical needs, much less my own surgery and my mom’s needs is OVERWHELMING and makes you feel like you’re DROWNING… and that’s probably an understatement. (Those who have had to become caregivers for loved ones, much less needing to be a parent simultaneously, probably understand that taking care of yourself always gets pushed off.)

Anyway, DISCORD announcements can be more reliable for when I go live or if something changes, and I’ll see you soon!

Hey there everyone! I hope all is going well with you. Let's talk about STREAMS!

They happen all the time, but I usually unlist them because of random YouTube algorithm stuff. But I'll be streaming TODAY (possibly twice, but Dark Souls for sure), TOMORROW (my dad's birthday, August 9th), and SUNDAY (August 10th). RING THE BELL if you want to know when I go live!

Usually, I stream every 2-3 days – usually starting out around 4-7 PM ET – and I'll try to use the community tab in the future to start posting better schedules and whatnot so it's easier to find out.

I'll also be posting VODs here soon. It's just been hectic on my side.

And yes, my dad is still bad off in the hospital and is being transferred for further medical care, but I can't help him if I don't work and don't pay my electric bill. So that's a thing.

Thank you all for the well wishes for my family and for still supporting me even while I'm gone being a caregiver to my parents (even if the government won't help pay for me to take care of them because they're nickels and dimes over the extreme poverty threshold), and I'll see you live soon!

So I have been streaming every other day-ish (check Discord or turn on all notifs if you didn’t know that), but my dad is back in the hospital. Things took a turn Saturday morning.

We’re not quite sure what’s exactly wrong, only that he’s in a very difficult and dangerous position.(And his birthday is this Saturday, so I guess any plans are off for that, too.)

I’ll be right back at it as soon as he’s getting the treatment he needs to just keep living, and that’s feeling like an uphill battle in itself.

As a more general update, I was about to make a perk that allowed people to decide a game that I must play, edit, and post, and the length of the game chosen would be determined by factors that I haven’t fully fleshed out yet. Stay tuned for that.

Recently, a friend was commemorating a special day and invited my son Rowan and me to join them. Given that I’m such a good friend (and that they insisted on paying), we happily joined them for a breakfast at IHOP.

Rowan has been, of his own accord, an unwavering vegetarian for years. So when the seemingly sleep-deprived waitress asked him what he wanted to order, he naturally wanted to know what could be substituted for bacon, given he’s a vegetarian.

I’m gonna need to stress that the waitress was told very clearly he’s asking because he’s a vegetarian.

Her response?

And I quote: “Turkey bacon? Turkey sausage?”

REJOICE, VEGETARIANS! You have new options on the table!

The experience was eye-opening.

… since, before she said that, I was quite tired, but now my eyes were wide open, wondering how she got this far in life.

Welp… I wanted to do something for Friday the 13th, but my body REALLY didn’t like that.

Tl;dr: probably kidney stones (plural). Blood in urine made this unavoidable (that’s a place blood should NEVER be in).

So, um… crap. That liter bag takes time, and the CT always has a line. At least know how to get a gravity drip bolus going the correct speed, so maybe there’s a chance I escape faster. 🤞🏽 Never would’ve expected I’m a patient for this before the two-year-old herniation. 🤦🏽‍♂️

When it rains, it pours. But at this rate, I’m starting to think I should use my off-time building an ark and rounding up some animals. 🫠 Anyone have experience running a zoo and happen to also like boat rides and heavy rain?
