Specialised Textiles Association
The Specialised Textiles Association (STA) is the industry representative body for the fabric and textiles sectors in Australia. We currently represent over 160 member businesses from around the country.
Our members include businesses specialising in the manufacturing and supply of textiles, equipment and services. Sectors our members are in include auto and marine fabrication, shade structures and sails, blinds and awnings, tension structures and banners, plus many more.
Our annual industry trade show and networking event ‘SpecTex’ attracts visitors from around the country. Each year we hold our STA Awards for Excellence, where members can enter projects across a range of categories and receive industry-wide recognition and promotion for their outstanding work.
We are a strong advocate for training and apprenticeship programs within the industry, and work closely with members to help facilitate the take-up of apprenticeships for young workers.
