Nature, Architecture & Divine (Travel Shorts)
This is the compilation of the three best artworks (in my opinion) in the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026.
1) Heart of Mumbai:-
It was a compilation of 3D printed artwork depicting the architectures and things that contribute to the daily life of Mumbai City.
2) Inward Journey of Indian Art:-
The Artwork depicts the correlation of nature and the universe in a person's life.
3) Life beyond Numbers:-
It stated the various geometric instruments and scales with Flora and Fauna on it showing how vain it actually is to have a measured approach towards them.
We need to show a broader approach towards maintaining and preserving nature and its creations.

This is the Navrang Cinema & the street view of J.P Road, Andheri West, Mumbai.
Have a look at the tapered design of the building and the slotted circular patterns, the iconic black screen in front of the theatre must have had several film posters and showtimes data posted on it.
The detailed information about Navrang Cinema as stated online is as follows:-
Navrang Cinema was a well-known small single-screen theatre that opened in February 1965 with Sunil Dutt's film Yaadein.
It served as a landmark in the suburb for decades but has permanently closed down, with reports indicating it stopped operations around the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Opening: The cinema opened in February 1965, with the inaugural attraction being Yaadein.
Location: Situated on JP Road in Andheri West, it was a prominent, accessible landmark in that part of Mumbai.
Significance: It was recognized as a small, decent, and popular cinema hall for residents in the vicinity.
Closure: The venue is permanently closed. It was noted as closed following the COVID-19 lockdown, with some, or all of the building painted in subsequent years.
Legacy: Despite being a smaller, single-screen theater compared to modern multiplexes, it holds nostalgic value for many in the Andheri area.
Have a look at the street beside it, one can spot an old bungalow with curved architecture, it does need urgent restoration and maintenance work.
The locality around has slums, towers, highrises and under-construction towers all in close vicinity.
Amazing indeed!

The 10-story landmark features a distinct white-and-peach facade blending modern technology with Islamic and Fatimi architectural styles, including arches, domes, and glass panels overlooking the Arabian Sea.
Saifee Hospital in Mumbai, inaugurated in 2005, was designed to be a "shining symbol" and a "crown pendant" along the Marine Drive stretch, which is commonly referred to as the "Queen's Necklace" due to its string-of-lights appearance at night.
The hospital's architecture, influenced by Fatimid principles, focuses on providing a healing, light-filled environment.
Key Architectural Details:
Architect: Parag Parekh (A'94) of J.P. Parekh & Son.

This is the iconic Saifee Hospital, Maharshi Karve Road, Charni Road East, Opera House, Girgaon, South Mumbai (Part-1)
(This video is as per the suggestion from @hyperite170, thanks for the suggestion.
I had previously covered it on the channel but not in detail).
The entrance of the hospital states the beautiful message dedicated to the Almighty
"When I fall sick, it is He who cures me".
The grandeur of the building truly takes one by surprise as one reaches here, the gorgeous arch patterns, motifs and the designs are inspired by the Fatemi style of architecture.
Have a look at the arch and the border patterns at the base.
The glass facade is lovely and is a highlight of the structure as it reflects light and in turn illuminates the whole structure.
The brief history of the building is as follows:-
Saifee Hospital in Mumbai was inaugurated on June 4, 2005, by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
This multi-speciality, 256-bed facility was built in memory of the 51st Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Taher Saifuddin, and commissioned by the 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq, Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin.

This commercial building is the Deluxe House,Off New Link Road, Veera Desai Industrial Estate, Andheri West, Mumbai.
Have a look at thin perforated metal sheet claddings on the glass facade along with aluminium composite panels.
They truly add to the aesthetic appeal of the building.
I did my research on such architectures with perforated metal sheet claddings and found the following information:-
Perforated metal sheets installed over glass facades serve as a functional, aesthetic, and sustainable architectural skin, offering 29–45% energy savings through solar shading.
These metal screens, commonly aluminum or steel, reduce glare, provide privacy, and create dynamic textures while allowing natural light and airflow, ideal for modern, sustainable, and high-rise building envelopes.
Common Applications:
Sunshades/Shading Screens:
Mounted in front of glass to reduce heat.
Privacy Screens:
Often used in residential towers to hide, for example, electricity distribution boxes, or for balcony privacy.
Facade Cladding:
Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of commercial or residential buildings.
