NaTakallam (“we speak” in Arabic) leverages the global digital economy to provide high-quality, curated language services delivered by refugees and their host communities. These services include translation and interpretation services, online language teaching and tutoring, as well as Refugee Voices sessions to promote cultural exchange in academic and corporate settings.

To date, displaced persons have self-generated over $1.5 million through NaTakallam, connecting with over 10,000 unique users in 90+ countries and delivering translation and cultural exchange services to 100+ organizations worldwide. Along the way, NaTakallam fosters intercultural exchange and raises awareness around the daily challenges of life in or near conflict zones, notably through its academic partnerships and services provided to private and public sector organizations. NaTakallam’s language sessions are offered in 8 different Arabic dialects + MSA, French, Persian, Spanish, Armenian, and Kurdish.
