Small update and addressing some questions:

Company drama:

I have been working behind the scenes on a few projects. Some projects I am moving forward with and others I had to cut ties with.

Let's just say its been way more complicated than it needed to be and has became a huge time sink and total waste of time.

I've always said I will bring honest reviews to my community and plan to die on this hill.

I do not want to be forced to tell the viewers something is great if I don't believe it is.

I digress

Hiking:

Hiking videos will resume in the late summer / fall once the Carolina heat subsides a bit.
Right now, it's a bit too much to carry loads of camera gear in this heat on top of the other essentials I need for normal hiking trips.

How to Videos:

I do have several more how to videos on my list and I will sprinkle these into the rotation very soon.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Check me out on Instagram as well.

Here are a few pictures from the garden this weekend.

Lavender is smelling pretty good right now, the sunflowers are starting to open up and this is the biggest bell pepper I've ever grown in a grow bag.

I've been experimenting with growing in these smart pots / grow bags so you can relocate plants into warmer or cooler areas if needed.

My goal is to find more varieties that stay small but still produce a decent yield.

Just to get everyone up to speed on where I'm at...

I didn't do any filming this weekend due to some long over due car repairs.
I made a lot of progress but still have a lot more to do Including replacing the tires and getting an alignment done.

Do any of you work on your own vehicles as well?

Let me know what car maintenance or repairs you do.

Examples:

Oil changes
windshield wiper blades
Air filer
Cabin air filter
spark plugs
replacing the battery
cleaning the battery post
replacing headlights
Adjusting valves or timing

Hello everyone I have a question for you all.

As you know I really enjoy the outdoors, honing my survival skills, gardening and hiking.
Did you also know that I also used to create oil paintings, make my own soap and repair water well pumps?

What are some of your interests?
I would love to hear more about you guys.

Hello community members!
New videos are coming soon.
I'm a one man show and trying to get things on a somewhat regular schedule.
I just completed a 10 mile hike, learning new video editing software, planting my spring crops, working out some details on the upcoming giveaway and working a full time job.

I just wanted to keep everyone updated. Thanks for your patience and keep working on your preps and skill sets.

See you soon,

I did some filming today at a new hike location but due to the parks size I may have to return to finish filming the video. Many of the trails had standing water so it made travels a bit slower than normal.
Hopefully in the end, it will be worth it. Ill add some pictures here and on Instagram.

A hike I did in Arizona some years ago.
I found some old pottery and drawings. Had dinner in the desert and watched the sun set.
Really cool place but everything there wants to poke, scratch or kill you. :)

I wanted those of you who are watching the hike videos know there are lessons here. It's not just to show you these awesome locations but to teach you a little about what I typically do behind the scenes.

-Carry your packs and get used to the weight. ( is it too heavy for you )

-Do you have the gear you need or are you missing items( flashlight, food, water, filters, toilet paper, meds, etc )

-Do you know how to use the gear you have in your pack ( water filters, Fire steel, etc )

-Can you navigate in a low stress environment ( reading maps, compass, trail heads, animal tracks, animal smells )

-Foraging for food and safely identifying plants ( something I'm not the best at doing but I practice by taking pictures and doing research )

There is a lot to show in these videos but I want to show it as if we are just going on a walk together.
