Today we’re honored to announce the release of Q Lazzarus’ Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus, the soundtrack to the documentary of the same name, also out today, February 21, 2025. In celebration of the release of the album we also have two special t-shirt designs again make sure to grab one while we still have them! Diane Luckey aka Q Lazzarus was a talent frustratingly ahead of her time. A mysterious, singer-songwriter best known for the song ‘Goodbye Horses’ which was most famously used in Jonathan Demme’s 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs, it would sadly be many decades until people would finally know her full story.
Released in conjunction with the release of @evaaridjisfuentes ’ documentary of the same title, the remarkable songs collected on Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus are both fascinating and, at times, incredibly surprising, showcasing the different eras of her work and the full breadth of her personality. Recorded between 1985 and 1995, this trove of previously unreleased music reflects some of the most interesting facets of pop music from the past four decades in a way that feels both savvy and wildly eclectic and opens a larger window into the world of Q Lazzarus.
