Abandoned Kolpa is an independent musical storytelling project from Northeast India.
Through Heavy Metal, Black Metal, Death Metal, and other forms of rock and metal music, the project explores the history, landscapes, cultures, legends, conflicts, and memories of Northeast India.
Its songs draw inspiration from historical events, forgotten battles, rebellions, political movements, cultural figures, tribal traditions, folklore, and personal journeys. Each release aims to preserve stories, places, and voices that have shaped the region across generations.
From the hills of Nagaland and Manipur to the valleys of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, and beyond, Abandoned Kolpa seeks to transform history and memory into music.
