Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm) is Brunel University of London's flagship innovation support programme, helping UK SMEs accelerate innovation, secure funding, and grow through research, collaboration and commercialisation.
Since launching in 2022, RIEm has:
• Supported 120+ innovative SMEs
• Helped businesses secure £18M+ in grants and investment
• Achieved a 73% Innovate UK funding success rate among participating businesses
• Connected SMEs with Brunel University of London's research expertise, facilities and innovation ecosystem
Geoff Rodgers, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise and Employment), said: "The RIEm programme helps businesses to access tailor-made university research expertise to validate their solution and secure innovation funding."
Dr Michael Joseph, RIEm Lead, added: "We have already witnessed successes with those SMEs that have fully cooperated with the RIEm programme vision."
