Friends of the Children - Portland is a youth mentoring nonprofit that is impacting generational change by empowering youth who are facing the greatest obstacles through relationships with professional mentors.
We pair underserved children with salaried, professional mentors for 12.5 years from kindergarten through high school graduation. We take a preventive, early intervention approach that breaks the cycle of poverty by walking alongside Portland youth to help navigate challenges and help them find their spark.
