My name is Chris Edwards and in the late 80s and early 90s I helped create freestyle inline skating! As the first person to ever grind down a handrail and blast 10 foot + high airs out of vert ramps complete with 540 and 720 rotations I would win the first world championships in skatings history! I performed all of the skating stunts for the main character in the movie Airborne that was released in 1993. These accomplishments would get me the first signature pro model skates in bladings history! I would travel the world and promote skating and help create a global community that is still rolling stronger than ever over 3 decades later! I have been coined the “Godfather” of freestyle skating and now 3 decades later I’m still at it but as a 50 year old enthusiast who simply loves to roll!
