This is Rupert Singleton. I settled in Kyushu, Japan's Southern most island 12 years ago and over the last 6 years have renovated 2 abandoned kominka farmhouses and their farmland back to life in Fukuoka Prefecture. After years as a professional photographer shooting around Kyushu I know a lot this most ancient land – and the reason for this channel I've rediscovered age-old traditional farming methods mostly forgotten in modern times. After a video about my life – and philosophy of existence – was featured on a natural farming channel things went a bit viral so I have decided to launch my own channel featuring first-hand the depth and beauty of my simple rural existence cultivating rice and tea – plus my path towards sustainable living. I am not there yet so please enjoy my regenerative journey. I don't work anymore instead slaving in a field is now my work (aka. enlightenment!).
