This moment, the two songs already out and the new songs coming, catches the band in a moment of intense joyous swelling energy. Working in dream studios, in a city they spent years trying to take a proper chance on, with a producer that had made albums we loved in our formative years, alongside the closest musical relations we've formed. This is our love letter to complicated nostalgia, to relentless empowering change, to realizing that making dreams come true (just like a crisis) only fully makes sense when it is shared.
Joy In The Wild Unknown let us tell you who we were. Bright Blues had us ripped apart so we could start again. What comes next is the band swinging for the fences, all in at the table, risking everything for a shot at feeling connected to you. Thank you for being here.

Soooo there unfortunately won't be a roof built on Pier 17 anymore and we’re told playing outdoors in the snow won’t work, so we’re moving to the beautiful Brooklyn Paramount on Friday December 19th.

Good news—it won venue of the year in the entire country last year and your ticket will be good if you purchased for Friday or Saturday. Bad news—we are no longer playing New York on December 20th. Yeah, we are bummed too. But the 19th is where it’s at, we still have ‪@AllenStoneMusic‬ and now ‪@OhHeDead‬ with us and it’s going to be a rager to end our Get Sweet tour.

‘Play the Game’ is out everywhere now, and we are so excited to share this album with all of you. Thank you so much for being a part of this big new step for us!

We were just all at a close friend's wedding, a friend who's been a part of the band's world since day one, and it was a big, emotional moment for all of us. Every day is special and important in its own way, but there are also a handful of massive moments scattered across a lifetime that stand out. Today is one of those days for all of us. It is the start of a new chapter, a snapshot of where we are right now in our journey of being a band, and we are feeling a ton of love for everything that got us here, and a ton of excitement for where things seem to be going.

This is an album about dreams, about laying it all on the line for those dreams, and the way the world looks when you're out on a limb for the things you believe in most. We made this record with a whole circus' worth of people who also feel like our family, and we think you can hear it in every song. Speaking for one second as myself (Robbie), I feel like I made this record with my brothers, and in my very biased opinion there is no better feeling in the world.

I hope you love this record, I hope it soundtracks house parties full of close friends, long drives with wide-ranging conversations, and the odd cozy night spent indoors holding someone you love. I hope this record makes great days better and heavy days lighter. It is the highest honor to get to show you this music and to get to keep telling the story of this band. Thanks for everything, we'll see you at the next show!
