Lately Iāve been exploring the south of France for a video Iām working on, and these small French towns are full of medieval mysticism š° and Roman surprises: ancient theaters, amphitheaters, and triumphal arches, all set against the charming backdrop of French cafĆ©s āļøš„.
From Orange to Saint-RĆ©my, Iāve run into several of these monumental arches.
Itās remarkable how deeply the French were influenced by their Roman past: you see Roman-inspired constructions scattered all across this region. But Roman triumphal arches have shaped more than just France; their legacy extends across Europe and beyond š.
Let me know in the comments which Roman site in France youād love to visit! š
If you want to dive deeper into the history and meaning of triumphal arches, I talk all about it in my video on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris š«š·, which you can watch right here: https://youtu.be/R8eb_a7gEcs

Whatās one detail youāve always wanted to see up close in the Sistine Chapel? (Thereās still time to include it in the video š)

When talking about Egypt, most people think about the pyramids, and come up with countless theories and stories. šļø
But to me the pyramidsāalthough undeniably iconicāare the least impressive thing about Egypt.
What truly left me speechless when visiting Egypt is the stuff thatās in the south, that is, the majestic temples, and the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, as well as the serenity of the Nile river. Every day youāre more astonished than the day before by the things you see thereāthe size of the architecture, the amount of art carved in every surface, the vibrant colors still glowing inside the tombs⦠And learning the story behind each detail really helps you grasp the depth of the most ancient civilization that the world has seen, and its deep roots in todayās culture. šļø
What place in Egypt intrigues you the most to visit? š

A few months ago, I stood in awe of the original skyscrapersāthe ancient wonders that still tower over us today: the pyramids of Egypt. Walking through their tunnels, I felt like stepping back in time. šļø
Although no mummies were found inside, the pharaohsā stone sarcophagi still lie in the heart of these massive structures (check out my Giza video for a closer look) š.
Thereās just something about Egypt that makes it so special and mystical. It could perhaps be that everythingās so ancient, or the stunning art and craftsmanship that embellish their buildings, especially impressive when you see the vibrant colors preserved inside some temples. But more importantly in my opinion, itās the massiveness of the constructions, the monumental scale of them, combined with the mystical land of the Nile next to the hot desert, that makes visiting feel so much as if youāve been transported to another time. š
Comment below: If you could visit any ancient site, which one would it be? And which one would you love to see featured on my channel? šš
P.S. If youāre into Egyptian architecture, Iāve got a full playlist with videos that will take you on a journey through its greatest wonders! š„ Check it out here: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
