My name is Patrick Cornelius Vida.
This channel is dedicated to the original sound of a lost era —
the music once heard aboard the great ocean liners of the White Star Line.
Together with the White Star Line Quintet, I pursue a single goal:
to make authentic salon and shipboard music of the early twentieth century audible once again.
At the heart of this project stands a unique instrument:
the original piano from the à la carte restaurant of RMS Olympic, sister ship of RMS Titanic.
This piano survived.
Its sound survived.
We recorded 50 works on this instrument, in original instrumentation and with the greatest respect for historical truth — not as reconstruction, but as preservation.
This channel follows one simple principle: MUSICA PURA.
No effects. No distractions. Only music.
This is the voice of the Olympic —
and with it, the echo of the Titanic.
