G.J. Advani Law College was established under the aegis of the H.S.N.C. Board in the year 1977. The college is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of UGC Act and also recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi for the teaching of the three year Degree course in Law (LL.B.). The College is recognized and ranked as in India’s Top 25 Law College, 2024 by “The Academic Insights” and one among Top 100 Legal Education Institutes of India by BW Law School Ranking 2023.
The College is named after one of the leading advocates of Sind, Late Shri. Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani, who was a scholar and writer of book titled as ‘Arbitration and Specific Relief Act’. He was also connected with many Educational Institutions in Sind as well as in Mumbai. The College has been a center of excellence for legal studies and has produced several lawyers and legal minds of repute.
