I'm about six months into collecting and I'm going to start documenting the whole journey. I pick different targets to chase - could be downtowns, rookies, vintage cards, specific parallels, whatever sounds fun.
What I'm doing:

Chase series with different targets and real tracking
Pack openings: NBA, NFL, College Football, Golf
Grading submissions and collection updates
Group breaks (calling them "Group Chases")

I keep stats on everything and try to figure this hobby out one pack at a time.
