Explanation for Pablo’s feather loss:
Pablo and Olaf are both infected with a viral disease. This causes feather loss. As for Pablo, this is clearly visible. According to the avian veterinarian, it could be Budgerigar Fledgling Disease (BFD, aka French Moult) which is caused by the polyomavirus, or Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD) which is caused by the circovirus. We did not test their blood for these viruses as the tests are not fully reliable and there is no cure.
