Pelerins is a new wave / disco act from Istanbul, Turkey. It all started as an intercontinental project between Eren Akkan & Omer Yazici in 2010. The duo wanted to keep on producing music when they both moved back to Turkey. It took more than a year for them to find the brilliant soul singer, Orkun Tiryakioğlu, the perfect fit to complete the lineup for their originals. The influence of French electronic music led them to choose a slightly modified version of 'les pèlerins' for their name, which also corresponds to the phrase used by Turkish guys who grew up in the 80's to address each other as 'pilgrims', meaning 'dudes'. A blend of various genres ranging from old school funk & soul and disco to contemporary nu-disco, from synth-pop to heavy metal molded the sound of the band.
