I originally aired this video on Saturday. I went in to add a different thumbnail and somehow deleted the entire video. 😒 So, I am reposting it today. With grocery prices skyrocketing and no end in sight I went way back to pull up a meal.my mom used to make when she was trying to stretch the budget til the end of the month and still feed us k8ds hearty and tasty meals.

Potatoes was one of those staples that really stretched a meal. So, I am sharing one of my favorite what I call "hard time" meals. Under 60 cents a serving but filling and delicious. You can be as creative as you want tossing in whatever you have on hand, brocalli, spinach, or even cabbage to get a little green. Hello Glowbies,
I so regret to tell you I will not be doing
Glow Live today. I have been on the road ajd in Palm Springs. Where I am currently I do not have the best internet connection among other challenges. However, I was able, yesterday to upload a video that will air shortly, a delicious simple 3 ingredient meal for under 60 cents a serving. Depression era meal like mom used to make back in the day.

Hopefully, I will be able to book Medicare expert Wednesday to answer some questions before thr Medicare sugn up deadline as there have been so many changes and dropped options for 2026. I will keep you posted. ❤❤❤❤

So often as seniors our our conversations with others seem to center around our aches and pains, how many medications we are on, how we habe become more forgetful. They say you are what you eat. I would like to suggest you are also what you spend your time thinking about. The shutdown has come to an end. But has anyone actually benefitted aside from politicians?,Yes, federal employees who were used as pawns will be getting their jobs back and those furloughed and working without pay will get their back pay. Food stamp recipients will finally get their cards refreshed so they can feed their families. All this suffering by regular folks to satisfy the egos of fat cats in Washington can Illinois be massaged and millions may still lose their medical coverage. It is a disgrace!

I believe things are getting ready to get even more ugly in these American streets due to the government shutdown. As millions of parents are about to not able to feed their children and many seniors, veterans and disabled folks who depend on food stamps are also unable to buy groceries because those trifling bums in Congress won't get off their behinds and do their job and pass a budget, I think some folks are going to.say enough and rise up and show out. Above is a link to the video I aired today. It is part 2 of my interview with Jackie, a 60 yr old female who has been living in cars or suvs for 14 years!
In part , if you haven't seen it, Jackie shares how she lives in her vehicle on a budget of only $500 per month. In today's video Jackie gives a tour of the very minimal no build set up in her vehicle and shares some of her favorite equipment and gadgets that help her to be able to live in her SUV boondocking fulltime in a city setting.
