Dessertophilia was born out of my affinity for fine sweets and the desire to be able to enjoy them without negative consequences on the body. All my recipes are made without added sugar*. I make my sweets using sugar alcohols and other sweeteners of natural origin, from syrups and honey to xylitol and erythritol, etc.**

*Please note that although certain ingredients, such as some types of chocolate, contain added sugar, it will be found in a very small amount in the finished product.
**Sugar alternatives, including the ones I prefer and use, can also cause unpleasant effects when consumed in large quantities. As is the case of most treats, moderation is key. Dessert is a luxury, it's there for pleasure.
