Where heritage and craftsmanship meets the great outdoors — in the hand knit wool beanie.
Since my grandma began knitting in 1932 the needles have been going steadily in our family, and in 2016 we decided to make a beanie brand out of it. Our beanies are all hand knit wool beanies, fisherman beanies, watch caps, toques, knit caps — whatever you might call them — and each one is still made the old fashioned way, with knitting needles in homes.
Along with hand knit beanies, there is always some Norwegian culture and heritage that bleeds through the brand. Our love for nature, hand made goods and the quiet tap of the needles, as the wind rushes through the birches outside of my parents' house. To me it is all heritage, every stitch of the story.
The forming of the brand in 2016 began when I discovered a love for red beanies and the adventures they represent. From there I proposed to my mother that we should design our own red hat, and soon we knew we had a great product on our hands.
