At the same time as I started recording video, I also started taking photos, mostly of my teammates at all the sites we visited. Initially it was just team photos, the usual with friends smiling or basic in game images, but I soon moved onto taking more semi pro shots and over the years I probably took 50,000. I never class myself as a photographer and I am not the person to ask for advice on cameras or settings I just like what I see. I tend to share them on Facebook & instagram. These ones were taken at Section8 on 12th July. Unlike most photographers I have never used Photoshop or other fancy software. Just the basic free Photos thing that's on my iMac. It may look like I took a break from all thing airsoft over the last few weeks, but that's not the case. I spent a lot of time sorting out issues with both Scoutthedoggie Youtube channels. Over 100 videos have been deleted from both channels, with five being moved over to the main channel, ready for release. Over 150 copyright takedown notices were issued by me to multiple YouTube channels. This is channels who have downloaded video from Scoutthedoggie, then shared it on their channels, with no reference back to me, not even a mention. A few of those channels had multi million views. I did email some offering them the chance to remove the content, but they did not even reply, so I have issued copyright claims which will result in content strikes from Google, if they get three strikes their channels will be closed down, no appeal. I have also made settings changes to the channels, blocking people from leaving links to other videos or channels, preventing spam, swearing, sexist and racist comments. I am not a prude, it is simply that Google takes a more favourable view of channels who do not allow all that stuff. On the Scoutthedoggie2002 channel, all airsoft content will be deleted over the next month or two, except for one video, just so that I can say that all three of the YouTube accounts I operate have videos with over a million views. Section8 is open again on Sunday 12th of July, it should be busy and I hope to see some of you there. If you need a scoutthedoggie patch, I usually have a few with me, so just speak to me and ask for one.

A few friends have asked me "Why do you bother with Rumble" In short, there are no restrictions on Rumble.
Here on Youtube when I upload a video, there are many sections to go through before it can even be seen by you. On Rumble, it's simply hit the upload button and done, much as it was here on YouTube 15 or more years ago.
On Saturday I uploaded the exact same video to YouTube and Rumble, each released at the same time, the view count difference is clear to see, not even 1000 views on YouTube and 13.500 on Rumble. rumble.com/c/scoutthedoggie

If you are ever visiting Section8, then do say hello, that way I will look out for you in game to get some photos. Yesterday there were visiting players who watched the videos and yet did not even approach me to talk, I don't bite. The real Scout The Doggie did occasionally bite, as he was a German Shepherd, the channel is named after him, at the time I had Scout, I also had three cats and the channel was almost DennisThe FatCat. Dennis was a Russian Blue cat, he was not fat, just a little more solid than my other two girl cats. There will be new long video at the weekend.

One of the reasons I stopped making long videos is because YouTube / Google, does not appear to tell subscribers when I release those videos, even if 10% of my 558,000 subscribers watched the video, then that would be over 55,000 views, yet not even 1% watch the long videos, at least on YouTube. Meanwhile I post the exact same video onto Rumble and before even 24 hours has passed the exact same video has been watched more than 75,000 times. Some might say that the views on Rumble are manipulated or exaggerated, but I have two completely different Rumble channels, one of Airsoft, the other for music and the views to that music channel do not score highly at all, meanwhile on YouTube that same music channel scores around a million views per month. I'd give you a direct link to my Rumble account, but then Google would pull this post and tell almost no-one that I had even posted this, same as usual then.

Five photos that I took today at Section8. Big thanks to Trent Halligan & his son from 'Flash Bang Smoke' for visiting Section8, we look forward to you returning in 2025. Thanks also to the three guys who drove from Cumbria to play, which is a round trip of about 250 miles, always good to see you guys. There were many international players on site, including players from The Philippines and one guy who quite literally just arrived on a flight from China, he was at Section8 complete with his luggage. The next game is on Sunday December 15th. More photo and video to follow.

Five photos that I took today November 17th at Section8 Airsoft Scotland. I hundreds of photos every game day, there's no real work done to any of them as I don't use photoshop etc, just straight into Apple iPhoto, pick out a few of use, perhaps hit the sharpen button and that's it. One reason I don't play around with photoshop etc, is because I am colour blind, not significantly, but enough for me to know I should not play around with colours. Just don't ever ask me to choose your clothes for an evening out, it could end in tears,
