Benedict Amadeus Scrivener

Benedict Amadeus Scrivener is a London based singer and guitarist. With a wide range of influences from Blues, Jazz, Folk and Rock he is well known on the UK circuit and has worked as a sideman with people such as Dee C Lee of the Style Council. Perhaps best known as lead singer and guitarist for renowned British folk band The Thumping Tommys, Benedict has played sold out clubs, bars and festival stages all over the UK and Europe, notably 'Fairport's Cropredy Convention' in August 2022 to an audience of 20,000. As well as supporting acts such as Brian Adams and Fairport Convention with The Thumping Tommys, Benedict also has a solo career and has released EP's and singles crossing a broad range of genres, including Blues, Afrobeat, Rock and Jazz. His latest single release, 'This Old Town (Won't Die Alone)' is a charity single for a refugee hostel in Lviv, Ukraine that he visited in September 2022.
