Learning to Paint
Ali’s story:
Born and brought up in Dorset on the south coast of the UK, Ali did not expect to end up becoming an artist as she had dreams of being on a stage dancing and performing. When she decided that wasn’t exactly what she was meant to do, she was invited by her parents to join the family business - art materials, stationery and picture framing.
When her parents chose to retire, Ali promised herself that she would channel all she had learnt into a Fine Art degree course as a mature student and she hasn’t looked back from there.
Now married to Richard, surrounded by glorious Dorsetshire countryside and the proud keeper of an expanding menagerie of animals, she spends every day painting, planning and inventing new creative ideas to pass on to her students across the world.
